Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

Treasurer’s report distributed, motion to accept by Greta heilman and seconded Joyce Greenidge.

Greta announced that treasurer reports for 2021-2021 have been uploaded on Google drive.

The library received a $50.00 donation from Cedar Camp. A thank you was mailed.

Joan Johnson, President, reported that Pam Eastman has accepted the position of Treasurer for the Trustee Board of the Library. The position has no voting privileges. Greta Heilman will take the position of Financial Officer.

Bob Olsen has retired. He was sent a congratulatory card to recognize the wonderful service he has given the Library as Representative from the Town Board. Teri Schuerlein will take his place. She was welcomed by all. Joan gave her an overview of the responsibilities of the Trustees and their relationship with the Friends of the Library.

Joan asked that we support a presentation by the Historical Society on fire towers. We agreed to do so and purchase three of the the presenter’s books to give as door prizes.

Kawana’s report:
Attendees of Dungeons and Dragons game has increased. There will be an increase in the number of game days when school is closed.
On June 20, there will be a meeting of the Friends regarding the Summer reading program.
Several people have expressed interest in starting a book club.
Kawana will join Instagram.
Food Truck Friday will begin on July 5.
The library will assume its Summer hours, open Friday and closed on Saturday.
Gabe Heilman will begin his Summer position at the library when school has ended. He will be working 20 hours a week.
ON July 11, there will be a program about turtles as part of the Summer program.
July 6: Dan Smith will give a presentation on his experiences hiking and building the trails for the Chester Challenge. On August 29, he will present a program on military roads.

Next will be July 15, 2024
