Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Meeting Date: March 20, 2023

Absent: Joyce Greenidge, Vice President, Bob Olsen, Town Board Member
Joan opened the meeting at 9:30 am.
The minutes for January were read and a motion was made by Sara and seconded by Greta to accept them as written.

Treasurer’s Report:
Greta distributed the treasurer’s report, she reported that her accounts balanced.
2023 Vouchers #18-25, were signed and given to the treasurer for payment.
A motion was made by Sara to accept the January report and seconded by Pam.
Approved
Director’s Report:
Kawana distributed and went over her monthly report of patron attendance, expenses and
monies received from fines, faxes and donations.
She noted February’s usage was a bit slow, typical for winter months. Three days were closed this month for various reasons.
Dungeons and Dragons attendance saw 4 children and 2 adults in attendance. It is proposed to hold sessions every other Saturday, Kawana will work out the time offered.
SALS is offering a small grant that the library can apply for to install a button door opener for handicap accessibility. Joan is going to move on this as soon as possible as the date to apply is April 3rd.
No word yet on the Will Eisner Innovative Graphic Novel Grant, decisions should be received by the end of March.
Kawana’s father has set dates for his talks; 6/29, 7/27, and 8/24.
A donation of $175.00 was given in memory of Arlene Mayer.
A motion was made by Greta and seconded by Sara to approve the Director’s report. Approved

Joan passed out save the date postcards for the SALS annual trustees meeting, which will be held in Saratoga on May 15th.
Cards will be mailed to a few past trustees to invite them to attend.
We will continue to have a representative to attend the town board meetings each month.
Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm. Joan will be attending in May and Greta in June.
Next Meeting Date: April 17th at 9:30 am.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 10 AM was made by Joan and seconded by Sara.
