The library currently is not ADA compliant. We would like to work with the Town to resolve this issue.
A sign for the library is in the works. Bob Olson has been helpful.
The NYSERDA event date needs to be changed because of a scheduling conflict. Sara has contacted Drew to see if Monday, September 9 at 5 p.m. would work. (Note: postponed until Spring 2024)
Dan Smith’s “30 Feet of Ledge” presentation is scheduled for Thursday, August 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Center. Anyone who would like to view any of his presentations can make arrangements with the Town Historian.
The Town is exploring Wi-Fi hotspot grants.
The HP Color LaserJet Pro and HPOfficeJet Pro printers need ink. Sara has contacted Kawana regarding a discount source of ink.
The library continues to have trouble receiving book orders from Baker and Taylor. The Shirt Factory has two new bookstores. Sara has contacted her cousin Bina, a Children’s librarian in CT, about potential sources of books and media.

Our bank balance is about $1,300.
Anticipated contributions include:
$1,758 Warren County contribution for SALS
$1,437 LLSA (Local Library Services Aid)

Food Truck Fridays continue for the next two Fridays. The event has helped the library gain 17 new patrons and 3 volunteers.
This year’s Summer reading program was held 5 times and attracted 46 children. The children’s sunflower planting efforts have been successful, and the flowers are growing well. The Book Bucks program has been a success, and the Stewart’s sundae kits were a big hit with the kids.
